0800 Number

A non geographic number is not specific to an area and is portable to any where and it also doesn’t have any area code, this is one of the reasons these non geographic numbers look a lot more professional than normal numbers. The tendency of customers to call a non geographic number compared to a normal number has proved to be more provided the cost difference is not that big.

The non geographic numbers include 0800 numbers, 0845 numbers, 0844 numbers etc. All of these numbers almost have similar properties. They provide the same range of services (If bought from the same vendor) and same benefits to the company and to the caller. However the difference is the costing methods, some of them charge the call dialler for the calls and some of them charge the call receiver for the calls received like 0800 number. 0800 number charges nothing to the caller and the amount of charges per minute is charges to the call receiver. This property of 0800 number increase the cost of communication for the receiver however it also increases the number of calls made to you by your customers/partners etc.
